“Graduation is one of the highlights of the academic year and after a two-year hiatus we’re especially excited to publicly acknowledge the achievement of our ākonga,” says WITT Te Pūkenga Acting Executive Director Dr Angela Beaton.
The class of 2021 is made up of 1157 graduates and the class of 2022 has 986 graduates who have gained certificates through to degree qualifications across a wide range of study programmes.
“We are incredibly proud of all our ākonga, none more so than those graduating today who have shown remarkable resilience in the face of change and have proven that nothing can stand in the way of their dedication to their studies and their future careers. We wish them all the best as they embark on the next chapter of their lives, whether that be work or ongoing learning.”
This year, guest speakers include keynote speaker Dinnie Moeahu (Te Ātiawa, Taranaki, Ngāruahine and Ngāti Porou) and student representative and Bachelor of Applied Management graduate Kim Prince.
