“Even if you think you are familiar with everything on offer at WITT Te Pūkenga it is worth taking a look through the guide as it features newer programmes like the Enrolled Nursing programme and teaching degrees and diplomas as well as all of our other programmes,” says WITT Te Pūkenga Marketing Manager Natalie Warren.
The guide also features new and returning ākonga ‘models’.
“People may be surprised to know that most of the pictures we use in our marketing are current ākonga and kaimahi – it’s important for us to show prospective students that it is people just like them at WITT - people they can relate to,” says WITT Te Pūkenga Marketing Manager Natalie Warren.
“It’s good that people can see someone they know or have heard of when they open the guide,” says Bachelor of Nursing ākonga Billie-Jean James who is one of the cover stars of this year’s guide.
She’s used to people recognising her now.
Three international students studying the Graduate Diploma in Highway Engineering also took part in the photoshoot and say their reason was to make friends and develop their confidence.
WITT Te Pūkenga Careers Advisor Nikki Truman says the Study and Career Guide is a valuable resource.
“I would encourage everyone to have a look through the new guide and check our website for more details before making a decision,” she says.
Nikki also offers free career advice for prospective and current WITT students. Email careeradvice@witt.ac.nz or book online via the Careers and Employment page.
