“With student and staff safety top of mind we’ve had to make the tough decision to cancel this year’s graduation ceremony,” says WITT CEO John Snook.
“Cancelling key events like graduation is one of the most difficult decisions any learning institution has to make. Nothing makes up for not being able to have whānau and friends cheer and celebrate with you as you walk across the stage to receive your certificate.”
Graduating students will receive their certificate and graduation pack by mail from Monday 21 February and will be invited to attend the 2023 graduation day. The WITT website will include a personal video message from Robin Brockie (WITT Chair) and John Snook (CEO) along with an electronic copy of the graduation programme students can share. On Friday 18 February the Taranaki Daily News will also feature a list of all graduates.
“The entire WITT team pass on our congratulations to the graduating class of 2022.”
