Based in Taranaki but reaching learners across Aotearoa and the world, NZIHT places a strong emphasis on providing quality programmes based on industry needs and offers everything from tailored short courses to degree and postgraduate level education.
NZIHT can help. We provide a pathway to become a Civil Engineering Technician, most commonly involving studying while working at the same time. We deliver our qualifications across four major cities over the country. Our learning model consists of classroom and distance learning within the student’s own time.
Our classroom learning is delivered in what we call “Study Blocks”. The blocks range between 2-4 days at a time dependant on the requirements of the paper being taken at that time. The blocks are scheduled well in advance at the start of the year, so the students and the companies and organisations that they work for can plan ahead and book those times out ahead of the busy day to day workload that occurs regularly.
Should the event occur when a “Study Block” is missed or not attended due to work or personal circumstances, the same block could still be attended in a different venue – with minimal disruption to the learning environment. Our tutors are supportive and we often receive glowing feedback from our graduates mentioning how much the support from them has contributed to their success.
