Learn to identify hazardous areas, sources of ignition and the properties of hazardous materials, along with the roles and responsibilities of all parties, regulations, standards and codes of practice relating to hazardous areas.
This eight-hour workshop covers the assessment of unit standard 5929 – Demonstrate knowledge of hazardous areas and their electrical requirements (3 credits). Attendees will be awarded an attendance certificate and the unit standard reported to NZQA. To be awarded unit standard 5929 attendees must attend the workshop and forward the completed assessment to NZIHT/WITT within 10 working days.

This course is a pre-requisite to the New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Equipment in Explosive Atmospheres (Level 4)
