New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil) (Level 6)

(Block Course Delivery)

The aim of the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering is to provide skilled and competent engineering technicians specialised in mechanical, civil, electrical or electronic engineering for the New Zealand engineering sector. Graduates will be capable of operating at a technician level scope of practice as outlined by the Dublin Accord (international Engineering Alliance, 2002).

  • 2 years full-time or part-time equivalent up to 10 years (domestic only).

Introductory Engineering Mathematics Training Scheme

Learn introductory mathematics skills and gain the knowledge to meet the entry criteria for the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering, or for those currently studying the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering programme get the mathematics skills and application you need.

New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil) (Level 6)

Become a skilled and competent engineering technician and be able to apply skills relevant to the industry. Civil engineering roles include working on roads, railways, airports, water supply, drainage, wastewater disposal, bridges, dams, multi-storey buildings, tunnels and other public works.

  • Level 6
  • 2 years full-time or part-time equivalent up to 10 years (domestic only).

New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) (Level 6)

Gain the theoretical and practical skills necessary to gain employment as an engineering technician in the mechanical engineering field and help to ‘make the world’. Engineering Technicians are generally involved in design and operations. This qualification is an International Dublin Accord qualification under the accreditation of Engineering New Zealand.

  • Level 6
  • 2 years full-time or part-time equivalent (domestic only)

Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Level 7)

Combine engineering theory with practical career skills in this hands-on three-year degree and start your career as an in-demand engineering technologist – an area critical to the economy in New Zealand and overseas. Specialisations available in civil or mechanical engineering.
